Our 2013 Three Year Strategic Plan | ||||||
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18. In May 2013, the Vestry and Fr. Linderbegan a several-month long process of developing a three-year Strategic Plan for St. John’s. Careful always to reflect and prayerfully consider each step in the process, this plan was developed to focus our efforts and manage our resources so that we might best serve God in our community of faith, our community of Versailles and the larger community of the world. In developing the plan, we used our Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Core Values to articulate goals, strategies to achieve these goals and finally tasks with timelines and measurements for achieving these tasks. Our work began with a day-long retreat facilitated by a Certificated Strategic Planner. We solicited input from the congregation via an online and paper survey and then held a morning forum to summarize the results of the survey and receive any additional feedback. At the end of the September, we prayed for God’s blessing on the plan and launched what will be a guiding, evolving plan for the next three years of our church progress and growth. |

Bylaws Amended: At its April meeting, the Vestry of St. John's approved Amended Bylaws. These Bylaws, along with the Canons of The Episcopal Church and the Canons of the Diocese of Lexington and of course the laws of the State of Kentucky, govern the operation of the church. Copies of the Bylaws, along with the Articles of Incorporation, are available also in Hosea Hall. If you have any questions, contact any Vestry person. |
